Terms of Use
Effective date: September 27, 2026
These terms cover the Android app Filmode: Film Presets & Editor, package app.filmode.presetseditor, published by FightTech VN. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you do not, uninstall the app. Where these terms and your country's mandatory consumer law disagree, the law wins.
1. What the app is
Filmode is a photo editor. It applies film looks and adjustments to photos you choose, keeps them in a library inside the app, and exports finished pictures to your own storage. It also has an optional camera. All editing happens on your device. There is no account and no cloud storage: the only online parts are the Presets Store, which downloads looks, and Google Play, which handles purchases.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal or commercial work alike. You may not decompile, reverse engineer, redistribute, resell or republish the app or any part of it, or remove its notices, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
3. Free and Pro
The app is free to download and has no advertising and no watermark. Every editing tool, the Studio library, the free looks, your own presets, QR sharing, .cube and .xmp import and export up to 3840 pixels are free. Filmode Pro is optional and adds the Pro looks and presets, Magic Filter, Replica Filter, and full-resolution and custom-size export. It is sold through Google Play as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, at the price shown in the app for your country. If Google Play offers you a free trial, the app shows it, with its length, before you buy.
Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Google Play under the Google Play Terms of Service. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions; cancelling keeps Pro open until the end of the period you paid for. A free trial turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. The lifetime purchase does not renew and stays with the Google account that bought it. For a refund, use Google Play's refund process; if Google declines and you believe you are owed one, write to us with your Google Play order ID (it starts with GPA.) and we will look at it.
When Pro ends, the Pro features lock again. Your library, your own presets and pictures you have already exported are not affected.
4. The looks
The film looks, presets and sample pictures that come with the app or from the Presets Store are licensed to you for use inside the app, on your own photos. The pictures you make with them are yours to use for any purpose, commercial or not, with no credit required. You may not extract the look files themselves, or the Store's catalogue and sample pictures, to sell, share or republish them as a pack or in another product.
Looks you import from .cube or .xmp files are your own responsibility: import only files you have the right to use. We do not review them. An .xmp file is translated into the app's own adjustments, and settings the app does not have are left out, so an imported look may not match its source exactly.
5. Presets you make and share
Presets you make are yours. When you share one as a QR code, the code carries its name and settings; you are responsible for what you put in the name. A preset someone else shares with you comes from them, not from us. A shared preset can refer to a built-in or Presets Store look; if that look is a Pro look, using it needs Pro on your phone too.
6. Your photographs
Photographs you edit or take with the app are yours. We claim no licence, ownership or interest in them, and we never receive them — the app never uploads a photo. You are responsible for what you photograph, edit and share, including the consent of the people in it and the rights to photos that are not your own.
7. Your library and files
The Studio library keeps copies of your photos and their edits in the app's private storage. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes the library, including edits you have not exported. Export anything you want to keep. Exported pictures go into Pictures/Filmode and stay there when the app is removed. Android's own backup may or may not include the library, depending on its size and your device's settings, so do not rely on it. Keep your own backups — we cannot recover anything, because we never had it.
8. Location and metadata
With Keep EXIF on, exported pictures carry metadata from the original photo, including its GPS coordinates if it had them. The camera saves location only if you switch that on. That metadata travels inside the file when you share it. See the Privacy Policy.
9. The Presets Store
The Presets Store needs an internet connection. Its catalogue changes: looks may be added, changed or removed at any time, and the Store may be unavailable for a while. A look you have already downloaded stays in your library. Looks marked Pro need Filmode Pro.
10. Device capability and third-party services
Export sizes, the camera's features and performance depend on your device's memory, graphics chip and camera, which vary by manufacturer. QR scanning relies on Google Play services; purchases rely on Google Play. We do not control those services and do not warrant that any particular feature, size or format works on any particular device.
11. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a look will render the same on every device, or that an edit or export will be saved in any given situation.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FightTech VN is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost photographs, lost edits, lost data or lost opportunities, arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects consumer rights you have under the law of your country that cannot be waived by agreement.
13. Changes and availability
We may update the app, change or remove features, or stop distributing it. Material changes to these terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date before they apply to a new release.
14. Privacy
The Privacy Policy forms part of these terms. In short: your photos never leave your phone, there is no account, and the only data sent to us is anonymous usage counts and crash reports, which you can switch off in Settings.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Vietnam have jurisdiction — except where the mandatory law of your own country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings there.
